  • June 2015: I was invited to be a panelist for a Meet the Experts event introducing postgraduates to potential non-academic careers they could pursue once they had completed their PhD research.
  • 2013-2016: Each year, I run two postgraduate training courses per year (one each term) on the topics of Publishing Your Research, Presenting Your Research Through Posters, and Giving an Oral Presentation.
  • Autumn 2014: I guest lectured on Birdsong and Singing for the University of Exeter's ornithology course.
  • March 2013 and March 2014: I presented a lecture on multimedia communication techniques at a University of Exeter science communication workshop aimed at engineering PhD students).
  • November 2012: I discussed my work on anthropogenic noise disturbance at Cornwall College Newquay.
  • November 2011, 2012: I presented two guest lectures per year in the University of Exeter course "Behavioural Ecology of Information Use," discussing "Signalling" and "Machiavellian Information Use."
